7th Grade Band CURRICULUM GOALS
Minimum of 180 Full Days of 45 Minute Class Instruction• Major Scales: F, Bb, Eb, Ab (2 Octaves)
- Chromatic Range Development: Concert F-F (2 Octaves)
- Rhythmic Development: Sueta Rhythm Charts 16-32 (perform and notate)
- Method Book Reading Ability: Complete Level 2 Book
- Concert Music: Will sight read perform music in Grade Levels I and II at a minimum of 2 Public Concerts
Playing Test 1st 9 Weeks:
- F, Bb, Eb, and Ab Major Scales 1 Octave (Review from 6th)
- Chromatic Scale in Assigned Ranges
- Selected Exercises or Music
Playing Test 2nd 9 Weeks:
- Bb and Eb Scales in All State Ranges and Rhythms
- Chomatic Scale in All State Range
- Selected Exercises or Music
Playing Test 3rd 9 Weeks:
- F and Ab Major Scales in All State Ranges and Rhythms
- Chomatic Scale in All State Range
- Selected Exercises or Music
Playing Test 4th 9 Weeks:
- F, Bb, Eb and Ab Major Scales in All State Ranges and Rhythms
- Chomatic Scale in All State Range
