Meet the Teacher: Miss Walter

Hello and welcome! My name is Amanda Walter, and I’m thrilled to be teaching 7th grade ELA and Social Studies at Central Davidson Middle School this year! Teaching has always been a passion of mine, which lead me to earn a dual degree in Special Education and General Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Before stepping into my current role, I taught Special Education at Tyro Middle School in Tyro, NC. CDMS has always held a special place in my heart—I completed two years of student teaching here during college, and I’ve also served as a substitute teacher. Because of that, many students across grade levels may already recognize me from a previous class! I’m excited to continue working with our amazing students and families this year and can’t wait to see all the learning and growth ahead. Go Spartans!
